Amber Lee King, age 20, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 28, 2014 at Niswonger Children’s Hospital in Johnson City. Amber's warm smile and pure love served as a bright light inspiring all with her eternal optimism in the face of the challenges she encountered. Her kindness, empathy, enduring laughter, and light will continue to shine through the love of all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Lillie Collette and Larry and Elsie Durant; and grandfather, Richard Lewis King.
She is survived by her parents, Richard and Tina King; sister, Ashley May King; twin sister, Aryn Lynn King; grandparents, Carol M. Taylor, Bill and Arbutus Bowen and Barbara McNeal; several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Colonial Heights Christian Church. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3:00 pm with Amber’s sisters, Ashley May and Aryn Lynn King conducting and providing music. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
