Marvin A. Petsch was born in Luckenbach, Texas, July 14, 1923, passed away in Dallas, TX August 27th, 2014. During WWII he served in the Army-Air Corps, and met his future wife, Morena, after the war in Italy. They married and moved to Texas where they raised two daughters, Katherine and Patricia. Marvin worked for Lone Star Liquor Company in Dallas for more than 40 years, and continued working for L&S Land Co. until shortly before his death. He and Morena were founders of the Dallas International Club, and Marvin was active in church activities, attaining the rank of 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife Morena and his daughter Katherine; he is survived by his daughter Patricia, his grandchildren Pablo, Christina, Mary Claire and Richard, and his great-granddaughter, Ambra. The family will receive friends, 6:00 until 8:00 PM, with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2014, Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rev. Josef Vollmer-Konig celebrant. Entombment will be at Calvary Hill Mausoleum.
