Mrs.Neva Opal Gentry, 95, of Westport, passed away at 11:26 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the Aspen Place Health Care Center in Greensburg.

She was born on March 13, 1919 in Adair County, Kentucky, the daughter of Bryan and Nellie (Sullivan) Atchley.
She was born in Kentucky, raised in Illinois, lived in Marion, Ohio for 23 years and has been a resident of Westport since 1999.
She married Curtis Orris Gentry in Russell Springs, Kentucky on December 27, 1938 and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1988.

Mrs. Gentry was a member of the Rodney Separate Baptist Church and attended the Westport Wesleyan Church.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting.

She is survived by
her sister, Jean (Charles) Tichenor of Westport;
her brothers, Millard (Connie) Atchley of Westport and Dwayne (Vermalene) Atchley of Greensburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents,
her husband, her sister, Alma Eades and
her brothers, Dale, Chester and Joseph Atchley.

Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery.
