Glenda was born September 16, 1970 in Burke County, a daughter of Glenn and Frances Lowman Young. She was a graduate of East Burke High School and a former employee of Red Lobster.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clinton "Pap", and Sallie Lowman, also her maternal grandparents, Burl and Viola Young and her uncle James Bradley.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her many aunts and uncles and family of Conover and Doris and Allen Arrowood of Mt. View. Also surviving are special friends of Valdese and Hildebran.
Glenda was a special gift from God to all of her family and friends. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Graveside Services for Glenda Gaye Young will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday August 30, 2014 at Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory.
