ALEXANDRIA, IN-LaVonne E. (Miller) Cox, 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness.

LaVonne was born on December 18, 1926 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has lived the Alexandria area for most of her lifetime. She retired from RCA, formerly of Marion in 1975 after 24 years of employment. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria. Her sons will fondly remember LaVonne as a wonderful mother.

Survivors:
2 Sons-Glenn (Kimala) Dowden-Converse, Ron Dowden-Jonesboro
Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Step-Daughter-Pam (Bruce) Yeagy-Alexandria
Several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband-Glenn Dowden in 1979, her second husband-Kenneth Cox in 1992, sisters-Blanche Mulvaney and Mildred Veatch, brother-Claude Miller

Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services in LaVonne's memory on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11 am in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria. Father Dan Duff will officiate.
