Mrs. Nettie Bounds Dies
Mother of Lewiston's Fire Chief Passes Away In California.
Word was received by Fire Chief S. O. Bounds yesterday of the death of his mother, Mrs. Nettie Bounds, at her home in Centura, Calif., where she lived after leaving Lewiston four years ago.
Born 81 years ago at Vancouver, Wash., she was married to Willard Bounds, who was a member of the Pataha rangers serving in the Nez Perce war of 1877, and they went to live on the Nez Perce reservation. Mr. Bounds, who died in 1916, was for many years blacksmith at the Indian agency at Lapwai.
Mrs. Bounds leaves six sons and four daughters; S. O. Bounds, Lewiston; Obie Bounds, Ventura; Harry Bounds, Pasco; Grover Bounds, Seattle; Lloyd Bounds, Lenore; Wade Bounds, Portland; Mrs. B. E. Smead, Everett; Mrs. William Papineau, Everett, Wash.; Mrs. Walter Disney and Mrs. Glenn Sewell, both of Hollywood.

Typed as printed to preserve the integrity of the articles. Many obituaries are incorrect but are still nice to have for research purposes.

I believe the tombstone is incorrect for cousin Nettie. She is the oldest child of the family and parents were married in April of 1853. If anyone can find proof of something else please share with us. We would like to be as accurate as possible. There are many incorrect tombstones in cemeteries. I have several in my immediate family.
