Edith P. Becker, 87, of Taylorville died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, in Taylorville Care Center.
She was born October 16, 1915, in Brownstown, the daughter of Arthur and Harriett Edith Rine McMillian. She married Clarence E. Becker on November 25, 1936, in Vandalia. He died November 19, 1983. She was a retired homemaker. She was a member of Taylorville Christian Church and a member of Royal Neighbors Liliac Camp #678.
Surviving are her son, Kevin (wife Shanna) Becker of Taylorville; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Becker Pollman of Oconee; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings: Audrey Pummill of Bloomington, Robert McMillian of Arthur, and Glenn McMillian and Paul McMillian, both of Brownstown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Richard Becker; sister, Betty; brothers: Roy, Homer and Clyde McMillian; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, in Sutton Memorial Home, with Rev. Dick Wamsley officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Taylorville.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, in the funeral home.
