Janet A. Reese, 60, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Lansford, PA, died Aug. 14, 2014. She was born Aug. 15, 1953 in Coaldale, PA to Helen (Drozd) Reese and the late Sampson Reese. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 23, 2014 at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 N Orange Ave., Sarasota.

Janet Ann Reese, 60, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Lansford, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 14, in the Sarasota Hospice House. Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of Helen (Drozd) Reese and the late Sampson Reese. She graduated from Marian High School and St. Frances de Sales University, Allentown, with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She was employed at Plymouth Harbor, Sarasota, and formerly worked at the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. She was compassionate about her job and deeply cared about people. She was an excellent nurse and held various positions throughout her career. She enjoyed being with family and friends, gardening, going to the beach and traveling. She was also preceded in death by a great-nephew, Alex Delaney.
Service: Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 124 E. Abbott St., Lansford, followed by burial at Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery, Summit Hill. Recitation of the Rosary 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Arrangements by Skrabak-Parambo Funeral Home, 210 E. Bertsch St., Lansford. Online condolences may be signed at www.parambofh.com.
