Virginia beach - Franklin Robert Edwards, better known as Frank, suddenly passed away March 5, 2014 from a massive heart attack. Frank was born on April 5th, 1965 in Elgin, Illinois . He was raised in Norfolk and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1983. He lived in the Arrowhead neighborhood of Virginia Beach, where he performed random acts of kindness around the community preceding his death.
Survivors include both his mother Hester Gillispie Edwards, and his father Richard H. Edwards Sr.; his beloved wife, Leslie Zaba Edwards, and his two sons, Aaron and Austin Edwards; Frank will also be missed by his brother Richard Edwards Jr. and his wife Bettie; His sister Cheryl Edwards Reyes, her husband Robert Reyes and their daughter Zoe; Frank's nephew Richard Edwards III, his wife Shannon, and their son Joseph Edwards; Also by his nieces April McCutchen, Samantha Wright, Ann Marie Wright, and Typanga Swiantek.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 10,at 2 p.m. at the Carrow Baptist Church on 5545 Susquehanna Drive in Virginia Beach for those who wish to attend.
