Jeffrey Wayne Perdue, 58, of Acworth was killed Monday, June 6, 2005 when his pick up truck was struck by another car on I-575 between Howell Bridge Road and Airport Drive.
Jeff was an active member of Cornerstone Church, Jasper, Ga. He was a member of the Bill Glass Prison Ministry, a Viet Nam War Veteran. He retired from Lockheed after 22 years of service in 2002. Jeff loved Jesus, his family, his church and his motorcycle buddies. He often went on rides with his prison ministry. He dearly loved talking about the Lord. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, John Pruitt Perdue. Funeral services were held Friday, June 10, 2005 at Medford-Peden Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Ron Rucker officiated. Pallbearers were Shane McBee, Jeff Bryant, Barry Wylie, Tommy Pillow, Scott Pillow, Jason Brown & Justin Brown. Honorary Pallbearers were Bob Olson, Bill Parsons & Mike Parker.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Martha Simons Perdue, Acworth; mother, Dean Mainor Perdue, Mtta; sister, Janet Perdue Brown of Fairmont; sons, Jon David Perdue & wife, Amy, Olympia WA & Joshua Steed Perdue & wife, Mary, Fayetteville, NC; daughter, Keisha Leigh Morris & husband, Tim, Powder Springs; eight grandchildren, Christopher Perdue, Maizy Perdue, Ella Perdue, Heather Perdue, Kylie Perdue, Caidyn Perdue, Joscelyn Perdue & Kendall Perdue; mother-in-law, Rena Simons, Mtta; brother-in-law, Ronnie Simons & wife, Susan, Douglasville; sisters-in-law, Faye McBee, Mtta & Judy Kinser, Muscle Shoals, AL; and several loved nieces and nephews.
