Edward Walton and Mary Ann Storer were both born in Birmingham, England. They married in 1840 and had two children. Edward Walton died in 1848. In 1851, Mary Ann Storer Walton married William Reeves who was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They immigrated to Nauvoo, Illinois in 1852 with Mary's two children and their infant son. William Moroni Reeves, their only child, died from cholera while the family journeyed across the plains to Utah.
