Dora L. Martin passed away quietly in her sleep August 27, 2014 at the Deseret Health And Rehab in Saratoga, WY, where she had been a resident since October of 2010. She was 91 years young!

Dora was born March 12, 1923 in Riverside, WY to Ada Belle (Cunningham) and John Van Dyke Finch.

She grew up in Riverside with three brothers, Lewis, Jim and Bob and two sisters, Roselie and Sandra. After graduating from Encampment High School in May of 1941, she married the love of her life, Richard L. Martin, on June 21, 1941 in Denver CO. They made their home in Riverside with a brief stay in Tooele, UT, while Richard was stationed in the Army. After returning to Riverside, they started their family of two sons and two daughters, Rick, Rob, Cheryl and Loretta. Dick and Dora operated Parkison's store in Encampment in the 1960's. Later in life she worked for the Sage Brush Senior Center for eight years; three as head cook, before retiring in 1990.

After retiring, Dora became very involved with the Senior Thrift Shop which she dearly enjoyed.
