Moses Boone was a Civil War Veteran, having been assigned to Company E., 1st Indiana Heavy Artillery.
On August 30, 1877 he married Mary M Duell in Putnam County, Indiana. They were the parents of Omer Clifford, Thelma Louise, Ethel, Josephine A, Katherine M "Katie", Edgar David, Hazel Delilah, Ralph Daniel, Mary, and Delmar Louise.
Moses was the great-grandnephew of the famous explorer Colonel Daniel Boone.
