Marion Ira Blagg, 91, of Kansas, Okla., died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Delaware County, Okla., to Joe Blagg and Mina Mitchell Blagg.
He was a lifetime resident of Delaware County and farmed most of his life. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, and a member of the Colcord (Okla.) Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline Blagg, in 1979; two brothers; and six sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Blagg; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Blagg and Jeanette Blagg of Springdale, Ark., and David Blagg and Deborah Blagg of Bentonville, Ark.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Frances Morgan and Harold Morgan, and Kay Hayes and Sonny Hayes, all of Colcord, Okla., and Ruth Wilmoth and David Wilmoth of Siloam Springs, Ark.; a sister, Irene Smith of Colcord; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Clay Hayes, Justin Hayes, Jubal Partain, Bradley Blagg, Brian Sinclair and Marcus Wyatt. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at the Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark., with Larry Ellis. Burial will be at the Dickson Cemetery near Cherokee City, Ark.
