He was the son of the late Charles and Betty Hurbert Shipman and widower of Willie Mae Shipman,also preceded in death by two children, Charles Shipman and Katherine Collier.He retired from U.S.S.Steel Company with 42 years of service and a member of Riverview Baptist Church and a U.S.Army veteran and former Prince Hall Mson.Survived by sons,Thomas(Thelma),Louise(Venue)and Larry(Charlene)Shipman,daughters, Georgian Shipman Marrow and Zula(Bruce)Raymond,40 grandchildren,86 great grandchildren,3 great,great grandchildren,brother, Louise J.Shipman and devoted companion,Alberta Howard.
