Wanda was born on February 13, 1925 in Heyworth, Illinois to Arvon and Leona Jacobssen and entered into eternal life on February 19, 2006 in Lake Isabella, California.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Robinson and husband Dan of Weldon, California, Maurita Wall and husband Doug of Redondo Beach, California and Maureena Strong of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren Holli Mitchell of Lake Isabella, California, Jeff Robinson of Weldon, California, Kellie Beaver of Long Beach, California, Jimmy Maletta and Andy Maletta of Las Vegas, Nevada and David Maletta of Manifee, California; great-grandchildren, David Mitchell of Lake Isabella, California, Sarah Beaver of Long Beach, California, Jessica and Allison Maletta of Manifee, California and James Maletta of Las Vegas, Nevada and a brother Arvon Jacobssen of Bloomington, Illinois.
Wanda came to Inglewood, California in 1953, moved to Torrance, California in 1954. She worked as an aircraft parts assembler for Garrett Research for 15 years. She moved to Lake Isabella in 1979. She was a past member of the Sheriff's Citizens Service Unit, serving as captain for one year.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Lake Isabella Valley Mortuary, funeral services were Friday, February 24, 2006 and interment followed at Kern River Valley Cemetery in Wofford Heights, California.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She was our beloved mommy, grandma and boma, the sunshine of our lives.
