A memorial service will be Thursday at St. John's United Church of Christ in Chamois for Edwin G. (Ets) Traschel, 80, of Chamois. The Rev. Deborah Pope will conduct the service for Mr. Traschel, who died Monday at Chamois. The remains were donated to the Univ. of Missouri medical school for research. Mr. Traschel was born Sep 11, 1921 at Chamois to Fritz and Anna Lieneke Traschel. He was married Apr 11, 1953 at Chamois to the former Wilma Stiefermann, who survives at the home. A lifetime farmer, he attended the Glavin school in Chamois and was an Army veteran of World War II.

He also is survived by three brothers, Martin, Ted, and Ernie Traschel; three sisters, Rosie Schroer, Martha Dressel, and Hilda Leonard; a son, Wayne Traschel of Chamois; and three daughters, Marilyn Steffen of Jefferson City, Donna Mantle of Wentzville, and Nancy Suess of McKinney, Tx. Three brothers preceded him in death.
