The son of Lindsay and Agnes Pike, he was born at Red Oak July 5, 1883, and had resided here all of his life. He was an employee of the telephone company for 35 years, retiring in 1939. He was married here in 1904 to Louise Jones, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard S. and Marlin H., both of Red Oak; one grandchild; four brothers, Howard of Phoenix, Ariz., Van of Red Oak, Basil of Alba, Mo. and George of Red Oak.
