Michael Joe Compton joined our Heavenly Father on Friday, August 22, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. "Mike" was born July 21, 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Helen and Jimmy "Don" Compton.

He is survived by his wife Gina of 20 years, his children, Christopher, Michael Jr, Lori Ann, and stepsons, Roman Ramos and Eric Govea. He is also survived by his mother Helen Castilleja, his sister, Mary Compton-Limon, and brothers, James, John all from Austin; Jeffrey (Perla), and Frank (Michelle), from Pflugerville. Half siblings, Daniel, Michelle, Jose, Cecilia, Israel, Deborah and Mark all from Laredo.

He leaves behind 9 grandchildren, several nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles, cousins, and countless friends who loved him dearly.

Mike served in the U.S. Army from 1976 - 1980.

He loved to visit with people and especially loved family gatherings. His greatest joy was seeing his family come together in his last days.
