Allyson E. Beattie, 14, of 411 N. Pitt St., Carlisle, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, the result of a motor vehicle accident on Route 11 in West Pennsboro Township.
Born May 8, 1990, in Carlisle, she was a daughter of Gordon S. Beattie of Mt. Holly Springs and Cindy L. (Mayberry) Beattie of Carlisle.
She played volleyball for Carlisle Middle School, and would have been entering the ninth grade at Carlisle High School. She had also attended Big Spring Middle School for seventh grade, where she also played for the volleyball team.
She was an active member of the Carlisle Evangelical Free Church, a member of the Youth Mission Team and a member of the church's Youth Group.
Alyson is survived by her father and mother; a brother, Tyler S. Beattie of Carlisle; two sisters, Faith L. and Rachel G. Beattie, both of Mt. Holly Springs; her paternal grandparents, Stewart D. and Nancy E. (Burger) Beattie of Carlisle; her maternal grandparents, Ray A. and Alyce F. (Dunkle) Mayberry of Carlisle; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in her church with Pastor Robert C. Gray officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the church.
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements.
