Mr. Shoemaker worked as an unit leader at Isolatek International were he had 26 years of service. A lifetime resident of Huntington, Larry was a member of the American Legion Post # 85 and the Eagles Lodge # 823.
Survivors include his wife - Mary Shoemaker of Huntington; his mother -Myrle "Pinky" Blair of Columbia City, IN; two daughters - April M. Shoemaker and Tina M. Grose both of Huntington; two sons - Joseph W. Shoemaker and Jeremy J. Shoemaker both of Huntington; three step-sons - Jeffrey A. Jackson of Salem, Oregon, Daniel L. Jackson of Huntington and Andrew S. Brown of Saint Roberts, MO; two brothers - Darrell D. Shoemaker of Huntington and Lloyd H. Shoemaker of Bolivar, MO; one sister - Janet L. Haneline of Columbia City, IN; seven granddaughters and five grandsons. Larry is preceded in death by his father - Carl "Jack" Shoemaker and a stepfather - Michael Blair.
