Brad Buchholz, 63, Fargo, ND died on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Sanford Health, Fargo after a courageous nine year battle with cancer.

Bradley Brian Buchholz was born September 29, 1950 in Fargo to Alfred Sr. and Emillie (Heger) Buchholz. He grew up on the family farm near Amenia, ND and graduated from high school there. Brad worked at the Nash Finch Warehouse in Fargo while attending Interstate Business College. He married Elaine Christy on April 4, 1981 at First Lutheran Church in Fargo. They lived in Fargo and LaMoure where he managed feed plants. They then returned to Fargo where he worked for Builders Management and Investment until 2010 when he retired due to his health.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandsons. Brad enjoyed gardening, yard work, fishing, his dogs and the occasional trip to the casino.

Brad is survived by his wife, Elaine; three children, Connie (Ray) McDonald, Gero (Shel) Mahto and Brandi (Bert) Jarvela; five grandchildren; two great grandsons; and a brother, Alfred Buchholz Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Oksanen and sister, Anne Buen.
