Brenda Lou Madison, 56, was born in Matneytown, W.Va., on Jan. 3, 1950, and died on Feb. 5, 2006, at home in Dale City, where she was a resident for 26 years. Brenda served for six years as a member of the Armed Forces in the U.S. Air Force. She later continued her career with the Department of Defense as an employee with the Military Traffic Management Command and Defense Information Systems Agency, where she retired in February 2005. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Claude Johnson; a sister, Mary Evelena Stacey; a brother, Robert Johnson; and a stepson, Daniel Madison. Brenda is survived by her husband, Joseph Madison and son Brent Madison, both of Dale City; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Arnold, of Redding, Calif.; her mother, Ada Johnson, of Oberlin, Ohio; and five sisters, Louise Lowder of Kennessaw, Ga., Mary Halloran of Fredericksburg, Hattie Jo Kimball of Stillman Valle, Ill., Barbara Landis of Apopka, Fla., and Deby Kolman of Elyria, Ohio. Brenda is also survived by four brothers, Harry Johnson of Bel Air, Md., Roger Johnson of North East, Md., Danny Johnson of Willowby, Ohio, and Eddie Testerman of Garland, Texas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, at the Mountcastle Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
