Laura Juanita Wooten, 76, left this world to be with the Lord February 26, 2006. She was born in Groesbeck on May 14, 1929 to the late John and Florence Freeman.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie Wooten; brother, James H. Freeman; sister, Rachael Osborne; daughter, Laura Harris; son, Jackie Wooten and four grandchildren. In 1947 she married Willie "Buddy" Wooten.

They had a loving marriage for 31 years and raised 10 children.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lock and husband Joe, Marlene Lennon and husband Thomas, Florence Blankenship and Cathy Wooten; sons, James Wooten, Willie Wooten and wife Ruby, Paul Wooten, John Wooten and wife Monica; 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.


Her happiest days were spent with her family. The last two years she lived at the Windsor Care Center where she had many friends.

The family would like to thank those who cared for her and loved her as one of their own.

You are all much appreciated for all your dedication and love.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel.

Interment will follow at Kleberg Cemetery in Kleberg. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home.
