Valta Ruth Bruce, 93, of Corsicana, passed away August 26, 2014, at Heritage Oaks West. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2014, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Brushie Prairie Cemetery.
She was born in Navarro County, Texas, to the late Clint and Velma Adams.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Rovane Bruce; brothers, Truman Adams and Delma Rea Adams; and sister, Onetar Adams.
Survivors include her son, Chris Bruce and wife, Rachel; grandchildren, Easton and Kimber Bruce; nephews, Weldon Cottongame, and Ronnie Adams; niece, Dorothy Burns; other relatives and many friends.
