Nathan Wright was the son of Nathan Wright, Jr., and Asenath Cone Wright of Middlefield, Hampshire, Mass. Nathan was born in Middlefield, Mass. He and his brother Emory Wright moved to Prairie DuChine where they owned an Apothacary/Drug store. On the night of Jan. 11, 1869, Emory Wright was killed, while in the act of defending the store against burglars. After Emory's death Nathan continued to operate the drug store with his son E. M. Wright who succeeded his uncle, as
his father's partner, this connection continued until the death of Nathan, which occurred Sept. 11, 1872.
Nathan was the husband of Adaline Vanderwater. Father of William, Edward, Laura and George Wright
