George Burns Hardin, age 65 of Kingswood, KY died Monday, August 25, 2014. He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on March 31, 1949, the son of the late William Celian Hardin and Hazel Frank Henninger Hardin. George retired from National Linen Service, was a volunteer for Community Action Services and the Salvation Army.

He was a very active member of Kingswood Wesleyan Church where he served on the church board and prepared meals for the children on Wednesday evenings.

George enjoyed swimming, fishing, hunting, taxidermy, writing poetry and music and playing the guitar. He loved Bluegrass music.

He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene Ross Hardin

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, 8-28-2014 at 12 PM with Rev. Paul Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Kingswood Cemetery.
