DELORIS MARIE GRAY, age 87, a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on August 25, 2014, after passing peacefully at her home in Alvin, Texas. She was raised in Horatio, Arkansas, and moved to Alvin in 1951. She worked for Alvin State Bank and Continental Savings until deciding to devote her life to the love and care of her family. Deloris' biggest joy was hosting and preparing meals for her family and friends. She was an active member of the community and very much enjoyed interacting with others including her involvement in the Alvin Mother's Club and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Deloris was a member of the South Park Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Allen; her children Tom Gray and wife Sharon, Liz Erskine and husband Andy; her 5 grandchildren, Hollie Raska and husband Darren, Mark Gray and wife Melanie, Drew Erskine, Brytish Fluellen and Braxton Wood; and 5 great grandchildren, Paige and Hayden Raska , Avery and Lexi Gray and Malia Williams and brother, Marvin Nix.

Visitation services will be held at the Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas on Thursday, August 28th from 6:00p.m. till 8:00p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 29th at 10:30 a.m. at the Scott Funeral Home and interment will follow at the Confederate Cemetery.

Deloris will be greatly missed by her family and friend's, whose lives she so very much touched.
