SPRINGFIELD - The memorial service will be March 3 for Bonita Esther Taylor of Springfield, who died Feb. 23 at age 55. The family chose not to list the cause of death.

She was born March 13, 1950, in Johnson, N.Y., to Lonnie and Eigiva Meade Burgans. She moved to Springfield when she was 6.

She married Arthur Jene Taylor in Springfield on July 22, 2005. They were life partners for 16 years.

She worked as a social worker for the state of Oregon.

Taylor enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, movies, spending time at home and children.

Survivors include her husband; her parents, of Springfield; a son, Michael McKinney of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Alexis Taylor of Springfield and Melodie McDuffee; a brother, Lonnie Burgans of Eugene; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Friday's service will be at 1 p.m. at Calvary Open Bible in Springfield. Springfield Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
