Although perhaps the most prominent element in Marjorie's life is the fact that she was married to the famous editor Farnsworth Wright, her life and adventures stand on their own merit and mark her as an accomplished, talented and fascinating individual. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and attended high school and college in that area. After graduation, with a degree in Library Science, she went to the the NYC library system to participate in a special librarian training program. After completing that program she moved to Idaho and worked at the library in Pocatello (circa 1925). By 1930 she had married, moved to Michigan and was completing her Masters program at the University of Michigan. She and Farnsworth were also expecting their son Robert. The family moved to Chicago and then to NYC where Farnsworth worked as an editor for Weird Tales Magazine and they enjoyed a cosmopolitan life in the big city. Several years after their move to New York City Farnsworth became very ill and died at a tragically young age. Marjorie supported his editing efforts, while he was still working, and raised their young son. After Farnsworth passed she and Robert moved back to her beloved Puget Sound area and she remained there, with her family, until she too passed from this life.
