Services were held on Tuesday, Jan 13, at the Burr Oak United Methodist Church in Skidmore, Mo. for Del F. Clement, Skidmore. Rev. Marjean Ehlers officiated. Services were under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax, Mo.
Del was born on Feb 13, 1954, the third son of Jack and Barbara Patterson Clement. He attended school at Nodaway-Holt and later attended the Western College of Auctioneering in Billings, MT.
Del wore many hats throughout his life. He was a cowboy, riding saddle broncs, team roping, raising livestock and breeding horses. A businessman, working as a livestock auctioneer, a farmer, a truck driver and owner/operator of Clement Transport, Inc. Del enjoyed dancing, singing and playing a game of cards every now and then. Most importantly, he was a father, a brother and a good friend.
Del passed away Friday, Jan 9, 2009, at Community Hospital-Fairfax. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Clement, Skidmore; son Chance Clement, of the home, daughter, Holly Clement, Maryville, MO.; Holly and Chance's mother, Lesa Arthaud, St. Joseph, MO.; brothers, Jesse and wife, Joan Clement, Royal, AR., Greg and wife, Kathi Clement, Royce and wife, Misty Clement, all of Maitland, MO, and Scott and wife, Leesa Clement, Skidmore, sister, Rosann Taylor, Mound City, MO; and special friend, Martha McCartney, Tarkio, MO.
