Peter H. Neufeld, son of Henry G. and Katherine Jansen Neufeld was born on a farm near Mountain Lake, Cottonwood Co, MN onJuly 24, 1898, the fifth of a family of twelve children of who all but one brother, who died in infancy survive. He spent his childhood and early manhood on his father's farm where he received his elementary education. Later he attended high school in the village of Mountain Lake. After that he attended Nettleton commercial College aty Sioux Falls, S.D.
As a young man he was baptized and became a member of the Fist Mennenite Church at Mountain La. Hor severasl years he worked with his brother in the plumbing business.
In 1928 he moved to Waterloo, IA and was employed by the John Deere Tractor Co., He met his wife Maxine Moody. They married on July 22, 1934. The were parents of a daughter Barbara Gertrude on March 22, 1936. She died in infancy.
They then moved to Wayne, Michigan. He resided there until his death Jan 22, 1942.
Funeral services held in the Wayne, MI funeral hom. The body was then brought to the People's Funeral home in Independence. The body was buried in the Hoover cemetery near Troy Mills.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Noody Neufel and ten brothers and sisters..
