Mrs. George R. Chronister, 56, 333 High St., Hanover, died Monday afternoon at 12:45 o’clock in the Hanover Hospital where she had been a patient for a few days. She had been in ill health for the past 12 years.
She was born in Hanover, a daughter of the late Noah and Cecelia Reigle Bankert, and resided in Hampton prior to moving to Hanover about three weeks ago. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Biglerville Rd.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, George Jr., New Oxford, and three grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Pittenturf Funeral Home, York Springs. Fred Mummert, Lincoln Full Gospel Center, Abbottstown, will conduct the service. Burial will be made in the Hampton Cemetery.
