May 30, 1946: Mrs. William Meier, nee Geister, was born May 18, 1871 in Germany and was baptized in the Christian Faith. At the age of three she came to America and made her home in Oak Grove, Wisconsin. She was confirmed in St. John's Church of Oak Grove in 1885. She married William Meier on November 14, 1893, and they lived together until his death on June 6, 1937.
She was a faithful member of her church, taking an active part in its work and she had an active interest in the ladies work of the church. She was a charter member of the ladies Aid and also served as president.
Her 75th birthday was celebrated May 19 and her death came unexpectedly Thursday morning, May 23. She slept away in her home.
They who survive are: one daughter, Vera, and three sons, Alfred, Earl and Ervin of St. Paul, one sister Mrs. Anna Heckel, one brother Herman Geister, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
The members of the family extend their sincere appreciation for the sympathy of many friends.
