Born on July 24, 1919 in Bon Weir, Texas, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Hughes is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Hughes; parents, Richard and Bertie Davis Rashall; son, Glenn Hughes; daughter Kay Frances Hughes; brothers, Raymond Rashall, C. L. Rashall, Reverend W. A. Rashall, and Reverend Grady Rashall; sisters, Ernice Jones, Bertha Mae Ross, and Gladys McKinney.
Survivors include son, Edwin Hughes; daughter, Maybell Hepler; brother, Harold Rashall; sister, Helen Herrin; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
