Graveside services for Herman H. Helm, age 66, of Centerville, will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery south of Centerville. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 26th from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Herman H. Helm was born on April 14, 1948 in Grapeland to Herman Delbert & Jewel (Hamilton) Helm. He grew up in Huntsville and had lived in Centerville since 1975. Herman worked as a crane operator and maintenance steel worker for Nucor Steel. He enjoyed riding horses in trail rides and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild. Herman passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and an infant brother, Mark Helm. Surviving family members include son, Steven Helm of Buffalo; daughter & son-in-law, Dana & Toby Tullos of Centerville; brother, Donald Helm of Conroe; sisters, Etta Helm of Livingston and Laura Luker of Conroe and grandchildren, Ty Douget and Tate Thomas and wife, Jessica. Herman is also survived by great grandson, Rowdy Tullos and another great grandchild on-the-way. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Wells, Homer Coleman, Ronald Allen, Henry Sanders, Jerry Sadler, John Bain and Greg Bain. Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
