"MRS. CHRISTENA VIOLET SAWYER
BRAZIL, Ind., Dec. 3.- (Special) -Mrs. Christena Violet Sawyer, 44 years old, died at 6 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle. She resided at R.R. 1, Carbon and was a member of the Lena Methodist Church. Surviving are the husband, Roscoe; two daughters, Mrs. William Crooks of Danville, Ind., and Miss Linda Sawyer, at home; two sons, Jackie and Merrill Sawyer, both at home; the mother, Mrs. Kathryn Morlan of Indianapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Tom Parker of Filmore, Mrs. Roy Trackwell of Brazil, Mrs. Rory Meador of Indianapolis and Mrs. David Chavis of Lena; three half sisters, Mrs. Zona Mosteller of R.R. 3, Brazil; Mrs. Mae Rowings of Rockville and Mrs. Mildred Owens of New Augusta; one brother, Ralph Morlan of Lena; one half brother, Elza Morlan of Brazil, and three grandchildren. The body was brought to the Miller & Sons Funeral Home."
