Helen Sue DePriest Kee, 88, of White House, TN passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 at her daughter's residence. She was born in Perry County, Tennessee to Graydon Carroll & Dera May Loveless DePriest on August 22, 1922. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Horace Kee; Step-mother, Lillie DePriest; step-brother, Frank DePriest; & step-sister, Lavergne Moore. She was a long-time member of Ridgetop First Baptist Church. She was a lady who devoted her whole life to her family and grandchildren. A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at Greenbrier Chapel at 10AM with Rev. John Blackwell officiating. She is survived by son & daughter-in-law, James "Richard" & Eileen Kee, St. Charles, MO; daughters & sons-in-law, Linda & Richard Vaughan, Naples, FL, Barbara Weaver, White House, TN, & Betty & Sammy Birdwell, Greenbrier, TN; brother & sister-in-law, Carroll "Bud" & Wilodean DePriest, Lobelville, TN; grandchildren & spouses, Dr. Jennifer & Dr. Jerry Allen, Steven Birdwell, Jimmy Dunham, Jason Dunham, Dr. Laura Kee & Chris Suda, Jaime Kee, Dr. Aislinn Vaughan, Cristin & James Patterson; great grandchildren, Lexie Birdwell, Lilly Patterson, Bryn Allen, Andy, Grant & Christopher Broeder. Friends may visit with the family Friday 3-8PM. Final resting place will be at the DePriest Bend Cemetery, Lobelville, TN off Hwy 13 on Duncan Circle at 1:30PM. Everyone attending will meet at the cemetery at the designated time. Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Birdwell, Sammy Birdwell, Jimmy Dunham, Jason Dunham, Richard Vaughan, & Chester Birdwell. The family suggests donations are made in Mrs. Kee's memory to the 'DePriest Family Cemetery Fund', C/O Linda Carrington, 48 Hugh Carrington Lane, Parsons, TN 38363.
