‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Owen Clair Carson, 93, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 1994, at his home in Layton, Utah, of incidence to age.
‎ ‎ ‎ Funeral services will be held at the Homedale 1st Ward, 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 1994, with Bishop Ray Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Marsing Cemetery. Funeral Services under the direction of Lindquist's Layton Mortuary.
‎ ‎ ‎ Owen was born Sept. 3, 1900, in Island, Idaho, a son of Owen Thomas and Ida Elmira Bates Carson.
‎ ‎ ‎ He married Blanche Elizabeth Kloepfer Feb. 16, 1927, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She pre- ceded him in death Dec. 26, 1969. He married Mina Ann Sappington Aug. 17, 1973, in the Ogden LDS Temple.
‎ ‎ ‎ He worked as an Electrician for the Ash Grove Cement Plant.
‎ ‎ ‎ Survivors include his wife Mina Ann of Layton, Utah; three sons, Leon K. Carson, Boise, Idaho, Phillip Carson. Meridian, Idaho, William D. Carson, Boise, Idaho; three daughters, Ruth Ann Barberis, St. George, Utah, Beth Louise Dunn, Pocatello, Idaho, Carmen Patricia Olsen, Layton; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great- grandchild; five brothers, "Buster" Carson, "Ted" Carson, Grant Carson, Jim Carson, Kit Carson; and one sister, Gypsie Jackson.
