COLEMAN, Ray L., age 40 of Lakeland, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014. After Ray graduated from Kathleen High School in 1992, he joined the U.S. Army / Airborne Division. In Aug. 2000, he was honorably discharged. Ray enjoyed River Ranch, biking, the outdoors and spending time with his family. He is survived by his sons, Lawton Coleman (mother, Kristin Boyte) and Sawyer Coleman (mother, Jamie Mullis), mother, Kil Sun Coleman, father, Clifford Coleman, brothers, Mark Coleman (Konita) and Lonnie Knighton (Sabrina), sister, Connie Ledington (Chris), nephews, Mathew, Cameron, Lance, Collin and Carter, Nieces, Courtney and Macy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for his children. A visitation will be held Sunday, August 24, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland. Funeral services to follow at 6 p.m. Burial to be held on Monday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. at FL National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. with military honors. The Family will hold a memorial service at the residence of Ray on Monday from Noon to 6p.m., everyone is invited.
