Billy G. Hudson, 86, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Mantooth, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Billy was born July 9, 1928, in Amarillo to Curley and Jewel Hudson. He married Reta Wiley on March 5, 1949, in Wellington.
He worked for Amarillo Hardware for 23 years, as a truck driver and warehouse supervisor. He was loved by all. He was a veteran of the Marines. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Reta Hudson; a son, Rushe Hudson and wife Janis of Amarillo; a daughter, Lisa Hulsey and husband Carl of Amarillo; a brother, Jimmy Hudson and wife Nelda of Amarillo; a sister, Frances Quisenberry and husband Doyle of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren, Bobby Hudson, Macie Jefferson, Katie Barnes and Hilary Hulsey; and five great-grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Ian, Smith and Savannah.
The family suggests memorials be to Temple Baptist Church, 3208 S. Van Buren St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
