Sandy Sue Douglas, 70, our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister has gone home to God our heavenly father on August 22, 2014, to reunite with her mother, father, sons and others. Halleluiah Glory to God. Sandy was born August 9, 1944 in Evansville to the late Roger and Clara (Hillyard) Douglas. She was previously employed by Southwestern Behavioral Health. Sandy's favorite things were reading, the river, trips to Florida with her grand-children, family and her most comfy place was her waterbed.
Sandy is survived by son, Jeff Wilke; grandchildren, Eric, Tyler, Alexandria, Kain; great-grandchildren Jade and Carson; sister, Ruth (Jim) Keister and many foster children.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Scott Wilke and Zachary Benthall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at The Gathering Church, 121 Walnut Street. Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service.
