Marjorie Duncan, age 88, passed away Saturday August 23, 2014 in Fayetteville.
She was born July 26, 1926, the daughter of Stephen “Stone” and Nora “Della” Davis Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elton Edward Duncan, both of her parents and two sisters Anna Lea Porter and Bonnie Drake.

She worked in dietary services for the Fayetteville Public Schools. She was a seamstress and a former member of the Mount Comfort Home Extension Club; she was a founding member of Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville.

She is survived by a son Lindell Duncan and his wife Robin of Fayetteville; a daughter Diana Laningham and her husband Steve of Fayetteville; sister, Saundra Payne of Fayetteville; a brother Donald Roberts of Fayetteville; four grandchildren Hilary Bell and her husband Nathan, Krista Nicewarner and her husband Henry, Mary Carter and her husband Kevin, and Mitch Laningham, four great grandchildren, Owen Bell, Liam Carter, Braden Bell, Ryland Nicewarner and many others who affectionately knew her as grandmother.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Tuesday August 26, 2014 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Center Street Church of Christ with burial at Buckner Cemetery in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
