A. J. Brock Sr., 61, of Montrose and of Beaverton, died suddenly Thursday, Dec. 8, 1994 in Flint.
Born Jan. 1, 1933 in Tiptonville, Ten., he was retired from AC Spark Plug and had been deacon and hospital chaplain of his church.
He married the former Carolyn Joyce Iris March 6, 1954 in Flint.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 4 children, A. J. Jr. and wife Cindy of Beaverton, Allan and wife Brenda of Lake, Anita and husband John Gallagher of Beaverton; and Gerald and wife Wendy of Beaverton; 2 brothers, Larry Brock of Crane, Mo. and Bobby Gene Brock of U.S. Navy; 7 sisters, Margaret Tipps of Dysberg, Tenn., Elaine Pennington of St. Louis, Mo.; Magaline Owens of Clio; Helen Wilson of Tennessee, Ruth Wilson of Calfornia, Lavern Altman of St. Louis, Ill, and Wilma Kincaid of Arkansas; and 8 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dow and Francis Brock.
Services were held Dec. 10 at Christian Faith Church and burial was in the Billings Township Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 1-4/1995.
