Funeral services for Eugene Felix Aucaigne, 68 years old, of 2295 Grand Concourse, the Bronx, manager of the Henry Bonnard Bronze company, in this city, for a number of years, who formerly lived on White Plains road, Tuckahoe, who died at noon Friday, following an operation in the Fifth avenue hospital, New York, were held at 8 o'clock Saturday evening at his late home. The services were in charge of Palestine Commandry, Knights Pythias, of New York, of which he was a member. He was also a member of Mount Vernon lodge, 842, B. P. O. E., the Corinthian lodge of Masons, of New York and was a Shriner. He was a worker in bronze. He cast the bronze statue of George Washington, which stands on the steps of the old Federal building in New York, the statue of General Sherman on Fifth avenue at Fifty-seventh street, New York, and other well-known pieces of sculpture. He was the son of Felix Aucaigne, consul-general of Paraguay in this country for many years. He was born in Paris, studied in a military and art school there and came to this country with his parents 50 years ago. He was awarded a medal by the French government for being the youngest member of the ambulance corps in the war of 1870. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Emil Blanche Ans [Ams], of 293 Bainbridge avenue, the Bronx, and Mrs. Josephine Jacquin, a widow, of the same address, and a brother, Prosper J. Aucaigne, of Lakehurst, L. I.
