Hazel LaRae Erickson, age 78, passed away on Thursday morning, August 7, 2014, in Price, Utah.
LaRae was born January 29, 1936 in Brigham City, Utah. She was one of four children born to Vernon and Margret Carter Leetham.
She married Joel Hyrum Erickson in March of 1960 in Nevada. Joel passed away on October 28, 2006.
LaRae served as the President of the Resident Council at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. LaRae’s greatest love was her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Joel (Judie) Erickson of Moroni, Ray Erickson of Surprise, Arizona; Becky Erickson of Mesa, Arizona; Karen (Seth) Manning of Orangeville, Brent (Debbie) Campbell of Aurora, Colorado; Terry (Linda) Campbell of Monticello, Indiana; Jeff (Connie) Erickson of Bethel, Pennsylvania; Jed (Heidi) Erickson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kenneth Erickson of Colorado Springs, Joy (James) Vath of Arizona, Tashia Erickson of Denver, Colorado; Brenda Rivest of Ferron, and Josh Erickson of Denver; special companion, Moyne Hidy, of Price; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ken (Marilyn) Leetham, of Utah; and sister-in-law, Val Leetham, of Utah. LaRae was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Jess and Fred; and two brothers, Darrell and Reed Leetham.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Castle Dale City Cemetery.
