Edward Robert Bartow, age 92, of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 in the loving presence of his family. He was born on July 26, 1922 in Princeton, WI a son of the late Robert H. and Justyna (Witucki) Bartow. On October 10, 1953 he married Donna Voelkel in St. Vincent Catholic Church. Ed worked as a molder at the Universal Foundry for more than 42 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II as a Motor Machinist, 2nd Class. Ed was an avid reader and enjoyed time with his family and friends attending the sporting events of his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed having his morning coffee at Hardees on Koehler Street.

Ed is survived by and his memory will be cherished by his wife Donna of 60 years, four children, Michael (Donna) Bartow of Columbus, GA, Cynthia (Patrick) Wolf of Oshkosh, Pamela Bartow of Oshkosh, and Gregory (Ann) Bartow of Ottumwa, IA. Seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Traye), Matthew, Tara, Jessica (Nick), Adam, James and Edward and one great-granddaughter, Margaret Louise. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Nickolaus; brother-in-law Richard Voelkel; sisters-in-law Margaret Volkman and Shirley Bartow and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Herman and Marie Voelkel; three brothers, Robert, John and Arthur; brothers-in-law, Jacob Nikolaus, Daniel Voelkel, Stanley Paulick; sisters-in-law, Carol Paulick, Joan Voelkel, Gertrude Voelkel, Marian Bartow and uncles and aunts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Ed on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 12 noon in St. Jude Parish, St.Vincent Catholic Church, corner of Oregon St. and South Park Ave. in Oshkosh. The Rev. Fr. Matt Simonar will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
