Mrs. Martin W. Noble
Word was received in Bath Monday, of the death of Mrs. Martin W. Noble, at Southern Pines, North Carolina at 10 o'clock Sunday evening.
She had been in feeble health for several months past with heart and stomach difficulties and confined to her bed for three weeks.
The remains reached Bath Tuesday evening and funeral will be held this afternoon at one o'clock from the house.
Burial in Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Noble's maiden name was Lucinda J. Hunter. She was the daughter of Peter Hunter, a prominent farmer of this town. Her age was 78 years.
Mr. Noble's death occurred about nine years ago.
She was a member of the Saint Thomas Episcopal church and in all the relations of life fulfilled the highest ideals of womanhood.
One daughter, Miss Mary Noble, who accompanied her to Southern Pines, and two sons, Clarence of Bath and Albert L. of Winfield, Kansas, who had been with her for the past few days, survive. A brother, Mr. George Hunter, of this town also survives.
