Harold Loyd 'Jobey' Jobe, age 67, was born September 15, 1934 in Vernon, Texas the son of James C. and Lorena (Hix) Jobe. He passed away Thursday, May 09, 2002 in the Norman Regional Hospital from complications of heart failure. Jobey was united in marriage to Miss Lillian Miller on December 31, 1960 in Childress, Texas. He served his country in the United States Navy being honorably discharged in 1957. Jobey had a career span of over 20 years as a truck driver with Tox Freight Lines before retiring in 1985. During his retirement, Jobey enjoyed trott line fishing, hunting quail and pheasant and was an avid football fan. He is survived by his wife of 41 years; Lillian Jobe of the home; three sons; James Jobe of Vernon, TX, Mike Solomon of Norman, OK, and Jerry Solomon and his wife Betty, of Newalla, OK; two daughters; Rebecca Nolan and her husband Bill, of Vernon, TX and Phyllis Jarnagin of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Christy Jones and her husband Mike, April Jarnagin, Michael, Jaime and Eva and his special pet Heidi; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Funeral services for Jobey will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2002 in The Chapel of the Resthaven Funeral Home with Reverend Alvin Garrison officiating.
