Funeral services for Ms. Lisa Fay Ortega, age 48, of Decatur will be Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home with Dr. Ben Hayes officiating. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Ortega passed away Friday, August 22, 2014, at home. She was born Saturday, March 19, 1966, in Joliet, IL to Mr. John Leon Wilson Sr. and Mrs. Wanda Forrester. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Ann Ray Sunday school class. Her grandfather, Randell Forrester, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Joseph Gonzalez of Decatur; daughter, Lisa Marie Van Den Berghe of Nashville, TN; mother, Wanda Aten of Decatur; father, John Leon Wilson Sr.; brother, John Leon Wilson Jr. of West Virginia; grandmother, Jennie Mae Forrester of Lock Port IL; and 10 grandchildren, Isiah Gonzalez, Nyla Gonzalez, Jordan Gonzalez, Daniel Joseph Gonzalez Jr., Lorenzo Gonzalez, Dazle Gonzalez, Dominick Gonzalez, Christian Gonzalez, Roxionna Gonzalez and Savannah Knox.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in her memory be made to the Clearview Cancer Institute of Huntsville.
